Panchamrut is a sweet and sour side dish commonly prepared during the festival of Ganpati. <br /> <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />3 tbsp Oil <br />1 tsp Mustard Seeds <br />15-20 Curry Leaves <br />Asafoetida <br />2 Green Chilies <br />1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder <br />1 Cup Groundnut, Peeled <br />2 tbsp Dry Coconut, chopped <br />2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp <br />4 tbsp Jaggery <br />1 Cup Water <br />Salt to taste <br />3 tbsp Groundnut Powder <br />2 tbsp Sesame Seeds Powder <br />1 tbsp Goda Masala (Maharashtrian Kala Masala) <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- In a pan heat some oil. <br />- Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chillies, turmeric powder, groundnuts & chopped dry coconut. Mix everything well. <br />- Then add tamarind pulp, jaggery, water and salt. Mix everything well till the jaggery dissolves. <br />- Then add groundnut powder, sesame seeds powder and Goda masala. Mix everything well. <br />- Panchamrut is ready to be served.
